Hi everyone,

Thanks to all for replies on previous posts. I was told on 12 sept that I would be having rituximab, last week I rang local hospital to find out when I could start, as was having lots of problems with RA and fibromyalgia , I was sternly told that I needed more x-rays and another blood test. I asked why it had taken 3 weeks for them to tell me this and then it's only because I rang them, I was told" I am not the only patient" and they would get to me in turn, I was told at my assessment it would be administered within two weeks, and it's already been four weeks and still no sign, anyone else had this problem?

Thanks. Joexx

Hi Joanne

I haven't experienced this problem myself but it isn't good enough. Apart from the fact that you need to be started on your medication, it is mental and emotional abuse. You have enough to put up with without being treated like this. I hope you get sorted out soon

Hello Joanne

That was just down right rude.

I know you do need a chest xray and a tb blood test and some other antibody blood tests before you get the all clear to start Rituximab but there is absolutely no need to be rude about it.

I would advise you to speak to your Rheumatologist secretary or your specialist nurse see if they could move things on a little faster.

In house politics drive you nuts that is for sure.

Hope you get it sorted real soon.

Love
Belinda
